Printer and card reader

The PC-100C panel, paper strip, copy/cut, and card file behaviour.

The printer view mimics the PC-100C. The PC-100C button at the top of the printer view, with its red or grey dot, connects or disconnects the printer; switching it resets the calculator, as plugging in the real printer does. Switch between dot view and text view depending on whether you want realism or easy copying.

PRINT and ADV are the printer's own keys: PRINT prints the display, ADV advances the paper while held. T is the printer's TRACE switch, which makes the calculator print every step it executes. Copy puts the strip on the clipboard as an image and as text; cut copies it and then clears the paper.

Holding the display runs the calculator at full speed, and that now includes printing — a long 2nd List or a calendar printout finishes in moments.

The TI-59 has a card reader; the TI-58 and TI-58C don't. Its Crd buttons load a card or insert a blank one to write, and Eject Card takes it out. Card files (.U59) live in the app's card storage — iCloud on Mac, iPhone and iPad (or the app's local folder when iCloud is off), ~/Calc-U-59 on Windows and Linux. The picker lists only card files.
